Led by Richard and Ryan Saunders the story of Stoker Mills is entwined in Belfast’s fine linen heritage.
From the beginning, the Saunders brothers have worked from the ethos of making each new collection better than before. With more than 40 years combined experience designing, weaving, dyeing and finishing Irish linen, the sheer focus on craftsmanship and provenance lends the Stoker Mills linen brand its global appeal.
Today the Stoker Mills label is sought throughout the world. From our historic Port of Belfast site Stoker Mills Irish linen are perfectly positioned to serve the global film industry. Our impeccable reputation is a testament to the company’s commitment to craft authentic Irish linen combined with customer excellence.
Embroidered into the very fabric of Stoker Mills Irish Linen is our Belfast Theatrical Linens brand. Established in 2006 by Ryan Saunders and John England, Belfast Theatrical Linens showcases a further treasure trove of innovative designs developed over a period of 50 years.
Many of our unique and exclusive textile designs have been worn by performers in The Hobbit, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and James Bond, along with gracing fashion houses, luxury hotels and fine homes.
A company highlight has been Stoker Mills decade-long involvement with the hit television series Game of Thrones as a key supplier of exclusive linens to their costume and set departments. The Game of Thrones map (picture) was a gift to Stoker Mills to celebrate this collaboration.
Stoker Mills is the warp and Belfast Theatrical Linens the weft and together the legacy of John England remains very much alive today with our commitment to heritage, craftsmanship and personal customer service.
